- Description
- My client is looking for a self-motivated and pro-active professional with a strong accounting background. You will be reporting to the Managing Director and Finance Manager, you will be responsible providing accounting, HR, admin and financial support. We’re looking for an Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper who will take responsibility for accurate and timely invoicing, monthly reporting and being involved across a broad range of areas.
Main Duties- Daily use of Microsoft Dynamic AX
- Purchase, sales and nominal ledger duties including all invoicing
- Processing of monthly & weekly casual payroll for hourly and salaried employees
- Managing Payroll process & Pension Scheme
- Analysis, approval and processing of expenses claims, overtime hours, credit card payments & reconciling of monthly credit card statement
- Liaising with suppliers regularly
- Answering any finance related queries
- Bank reconciliations
- Ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met together with the monthly preparation of a financial reporting pack for the Managing Director and Finance Manager
- Reconciling supplier & customer statements
- Debtor control
- Producing reports in excel of customer/supplier activity and using that data to generate management information as necessary
- Co-ordinating with account manager, production and installation teams to ensure all finance related issues are dealt with on a daily basis
- Co-ordinate monthly stock take
- In addition, from time to time, you may be asked to undertake other tasks and responsibilities not covered above, for example admin, vehicle, H&S, or HR tasks
- Liaising with external Accountants on year ends returns and corporation tax return
- Compiling & Filing of VAT returns
- Liaison with HMRC
A desire to work in an accounts department and to develop your skill set with a view to taking on more responsibility in the future and to grow with the business. You must live in a commutable distance from the office in Esher- Prior demonstratable experience in a similar role - minimum 2 years
- Microsoft Dynamic AX experience preferred
- Excellent MS Office and Excel skills
- Hardworking and dedicated individual with very good numerical skills
- Be able to multi-task and work to deadlines
- A team player who is helpful, reliable, trustworthy and confidential
- Some accountancy qualifications ideal, preferably AAT part/qualified / ACCA part qualified
