Assistant Accountant - Entertainment/Media Industry

Kenneth Brian Associates are exclusively partnering with an international Media and Entertainments business based in the heart of Central London to hire an Assistant Accountant.

This is an exciting and fast paced business with offices in the US and over 50 staff. You'll work in a team of 20 in the London office assisting with the production of accounts for a large portfolio of prestigious media clients. Experience of the Entertainment industry is not required, although it would be an advantage.

To be considered for this vacancy, you will have experience of AP/AR, bank reconciliations, expenses and assisting with month end. The AAT qualification would be useful.

Key Responsibilities:

• Posting Journals
• Assisting with VAT return filings
• Ensuring all purchase invoices are matched against POs, liaising to resolve discrepancies.
• Ensuring invoices are processed in line with company policy, approve supplier payment runs, and ensure suppliers are paid on a timely basis.
• Review and post credit card and expense transactions.
• Maintain and update rebate and royalty calculations.

You will be a competent user of Excel and have the confidence to liaise with finance and non-finance staff at all levels whilst working dynamically across multiple projects, tracking progress and providing quick, insightful status updates on request.
