- Due to continued growth our client based in the heart of Crawley, are looking to hire an Accounts Assistant who thrives in a fast pace environment and is keen to learn across all elements of day to day accounting.
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you will be responsible for various finance duties. The role includes bookkeeping across their group of companies, with a focus on maintaining accurate and timely records of financial transactions.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for various financial duties. The role includes ledger requirements across our group of companies, with a focus on maintaining accurate and timely records of financial transactions.
Key tasks include:- Operate across the groups accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers, ensuring proper reconciliation and recording of entries across the piece
- Accurately review, verify and code vendor invoices, statements and employee expenses in Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Actively review and follow up customer credit accounts, addressing queries and resolving disputes to achieve settlements
- Build and maintain strong relationship with internal and external customers and suppliers
- Prepare payment runs and submissions for the management team
- Address payments related inquiries coming from internal and external stakeholders and ensure proper routing of invoices to approvers as necessary.
- Support the management team with additional tasks or projects when required
Qualifications and Skills:
To excel in this role, we're looking for candidates with the following qualifications and skills:- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft products, especially Excel
- Ability to work autonomously, take responsibility, and seek assistance when needed
- Experience or knowledge of Dynamics 365 would be ideal, but not essential
- Part or full financial qualification preferred, but not essential
