- Description
Kenneth Brian Associates are recruiting for a rapidly expanding business based in Crawley and who are recruiting for an Financial Controller to join their team on a permanent basis. As a number 2 to the CFO, you will be pivotal in the scale up of the company and will be heavily involved in acquisitions and transactions.
Main Duties:
- Managing end to end finance process
- Producing monthly management accounts including revenue reconciliation, posting of journals, accrued income, interest and commentary on variances
- Overseeing the transactional team (5 direct reports)
- Monthly cost analysis and other reporting
- Review spending against budget with individual departments
- Ensuring the trial balances are maintained and fully reconciled
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting CFO in the preparation of monthly financial pack for the Board
- Submitting VAT returns
- Oversee cash flow management and cash requests upon demand
- Updating the budget and forecast model
- Liaising with Auditors and leading on annual audit
- Liaising and building a strong relationship with third parties such as banks, tax advisor's, payroll provider and other
- Responsible for process and control improvement and finance strategy roll out
About You:
- Qualified Accountant (ideally at least 5 years post qualified)
- Possesses over 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills
- Exhibits a lively and engaging personality that aligns with the team culture
- Is outgoing and confident, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all organizational levels
- Committed to the development of the team members
- Upholds high professional standards of conduct and practice
- Proficient in advanced Excel skills
