- Kenneth Brian Associates are working on an opportunity for a Leatherhead based company, who are seeking a qualified and experienced Debt Adviser to join their FCA regulated debt team.
This is a remote role but you will need to live within the East/South-East of England in order to attend meetings when required.
The team provides a free, independent and confidential debt advice service to individuals, from dealing with one-off issues through to complex debt cases. Specific responsibilities will include:
- Responding to requests for advice and assistance
- Delivering impartial debt advice, information and support, through various methods including face to face, video call, email and telephone
- Providing information about the options available so that individuals can make informed choices
- Follow up to ensure that support is obtained
- Maintaining an up to date knowledge of debt processes, legislation and statutory services
The ideal candidate:
- A qualified Debt Adviser with a Certificate in Money Advice Practice (CertMAP)
- Recent experience of delivering debt advice to individuals
- Up to date knowledge of UK debt advice processes and legislation
- Awareness of the UK social welfare system and how to access it for the benefit of individuals in need
- Confidence to work on your own whilst within an established remote team
- High level of communication skills
