- Description
- Kenneth Brian Associates are supporting our client, a Redhill based Financial Services organisation, with recruitment for an Underwriter, who will be responsible for underwriting Finance applications, and providing an efficient service to the sales force.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Underwriting Finance applications within personal underwriting authority
- Checking documents to ensure correct funding
- Ensuring compliance with GDPR and Money Laundering guidelines
- Providing and analysing management information and statistical reports
- Ensuring that proposals are processed in a timely manner
- Recommending a course of action where cases fall outside personal lending authority
- Liaising with the sales force
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Educated to GCSE or equivalent, to include Maths and English at grade C or above
- Previous Underwriting experience
- Knowledge of credit scoring systems
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with all levels of staff, management and customers
- Strong negotiation skills
Working hours are on a shift basis, between 8am-7pm Monday-Friday, and one in four Saturdays 9am-6pm (with a day off in the week in lieu).
