Management Accountant

Kenneth Brian Associates are recruiting on behalf of a high performing, forward-thinking organisation based in Sutton, who are looking to hire a qualified Management Accountant to join their finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands on accountant to play a key role in the financial management of the business and supporting commercial decision making.

Your Responsibilities:

• Preparation and production of full monthly management accounts
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances and discrepancies
• Managing and developing an accounting team
• Working closely with the Financial Controller and Finance Director to review and improve business processes, identifying risks and areas for further investigation
• Preparation and submission of VAT and other statutory/government returns
• Implementing, monitoring and reviewing internal controls in line with group risk management policies
• Supporting and maintaining business intelligence and reporting tools
• Producing monthly variance analysis and detailed commentary
• Involvement in a range of ad hoc projects to support the wider business

Ideal Candidate:

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA or ACCA)
• Previous line management experience
• Advanced Excel capability (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs)
• Experience working with ERP systems and Business Intelligence tools
• Experience operating within a multi-currency environment
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to learn quickly and adapt to change
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
