Description
Kenneth Brian Associates have recently partnered with an industry leading client based in the Guildford area. Our client is looking for an analytical Finance Analyst. Within this role, you will support the Finance Business Partners with Management Account reporting to allow for further analysis and performance management.
The role holder will take a key role in P&L management and month end reporting, helping to drive reporting accuracy and process improvement.
This will involve liaising with the wider business to ensure records and postings are accurate and up to date.
The role will also have an indirect reporting line into the Financial Accounting Manager as a key support for cash payment activities, as well as Payment In Advance.
For those pre/part qualified in Accountancy professional membership, support would be given in line with the company policy.
Key tasks
  • Delivery of Scottish Public Sector Payment In Advance
  • Support the month end management reporting process
  • Support financial transaction processing, i.e supplier payment runs process
  • Identify process improvement opportunities that drive accuracy and timeliness of month end P&L reporting
  • Support the Finance function during external audits
  • Promote appropriate internal controls, identifying areas of improvement
  • Produce advance payment and consolidated billing reconciliations / invoices in line with business timetables and to ensure the financial transactions are correctly recorded in the finance system.
  • Ensure the Business Stream purchase order control system operates effectively and efficiently with appropriate levels of control.
