- Kenneth Brian Associates are recruiting on behalf of a unique and friendly company in Weybridge who are looking to hire a Finance Assistant to provide support to the Finance team.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Bank Reconciliations
- Accounts payable - set up new suppliers, enter invoices, ensuring appropriate authorisation has been obtained and correct costs codes assigned
- Sales ledger - raise sales invoices
- Credit control duties to ensure the aged debtors are kept to a minimum.
- Maintain floats for admissions and retail
- Weekly banking of cash takings
- Processing staff expense claims; ensuring accurate posting into the accounting software.
- Reconciling the petty cash account on a monthly basis.
- Process credit card transactions onto accounting software
- To receive and sort all paperwork in the Finance Office, distributing and filing as appropriate.
- Scanning of documents onto electronic financial filing system
- To assist other members of the finance team when required
- Experience of working within a busy finance office environment.
- Good knowledge of IT systems and finance processes.
- Day to day experience of using Excel and comfortable manipulating data within it.
- Experience using an accounting or finance system.
- Basic Level Sage experience desirable.
- Understanding of GDPR guidelines and statutory requirements of processing data.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and experience of liaising with an array of stakeholders over the phone, via email and in person.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in your work and an understanding of why these are important to the role.
- Good numeracy skills.
- Ability to work with pace to meet deadlines.
- Ability to remain calm and confident when under pressure.
- Understands the need for flexibility in role activities and responds accordingly.
- Self-motivated, confident in prioritising and working without too much supervision.
- Takes ownership and accountability for own behaviour, actions and outcomes and recognises the impact these have on others.
