- Description
- Kenneth Brian Associates are working with a market leading local business to recruit for a Finance Manager who will take over all aspects of the day to day & commercial finance function which will include the management of the accounts team.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY- Monitor all company expenditure by managing the process for all invoices, sorting all queries as well as posting onto the system
- Produce reports for weekly and monthly payment runs and submit by BACS
- Setting up any priority payments as and when required
- Daily bank reconciliations on all accounts and resolving any issues
- Deal with all bank related queries and deal directly with relationship manager
- Oversee the closing of the Purchase ledger at month end and by WD5, ensuring everything is posted in relation to that month
- Manage the payroll, including calculation of overtime and management of sick and annual leave
- Processing of all staff expenses including posting the credit card payments each week
- Produce month end journals and posting onto system - these will include all accruals and prepayments, wages and deprecation.
- Upkeep of the Fixed Asset register
- Produce weekly financial snapshot report for directors
- The reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
- Produce full set of monthly management accounts and submit by WD7 after month end
- Produce and manage cash-flow forecasts
- The calculation of monthly customer rebates due to customers and producing the credit notes
- Prepare, analyse and submit the quarterly VAT returns
- Year end work and preparation for
- Complete annual P11d submission
- Any other Adhoc tasks assigned to by the MD
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office including Excel, MS Outlook
- AAT Qualified
- Management experience is essential
- Strong communication both written and verbal
- Capability to explain financial reporting to management
- Able to work independently and hit the ground running
- Can demonstrate they can work as part of a team.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Professional and confident telephone manner.
