- Kenneth Brian Associates are assisting in the recruitment for an amazing charity based in Sutton who are looking to hire a Accounts Manager on a permanent basis to join their lovely team. To be considered for the role you will have worked within in a similar hands on role and will have managed/supervised at least 1 member of staff.
Main Duties:- Balance daily income between, Sage and the bank
- Prepare day sheets for cheque and credit card income.
- Analyse bank statements, for all types of direct credit income.
- Manage the whole accounts payable and expenses function, with monthly BACS runs
- Manage petty cash, euro cash and dollar cash.
- Line manage Accounts Assistant
- Agree intercompany balances monthly
- Line manage Gift Aid & Directs Credit Co-ordinator
- Balance standing order and other direct credit income with Gift Aid & Direct Credits Coordinator
- Seek efficiencies and improvements in accounting systems and processes
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- All other monthly journals, including payroll & aid payments
- Balance legacy income and accrued legacies with the Legacy Officer monthly.
- Work with Head of Finance on quarterly Board papers and annual accounts
- Lead in preparing files for annual audit and complying with all requests of the auditors
- Sage 200 accounts package - desirable
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Excellent inter-personal skills.
- Ability to manage own time effectively on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- A self-starter, able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Practical and hands-on approach.
