- Kenneth Brian Associates are recruiting on behalf of an amazing charity based in Epsom who are looking to hire a Senior Management Accountant on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have worked within a similar role enabling them to hit the ground running and will be happy to travel to Epsom 3 days a week.
Main Duties:- Responsible for leading the management accounts function
- Building the finance business partnering relationships and delivering reliable monthly management accounts and forecasts.
- Responsible for directly partnering with one of the charity’s regions and the central departments.
- Working closely with the local managers in that region so that you can provide support and training to ensure that processes are understood and operated correctly, so that income, staff costs and non-staff costs are recorded accurately and on-time in the central systems for your region.
- To calculate and process accurate accrual and other journals at each month end, provide robust forecasts of full year positions and validate and explain variances against budget or forecast.
- Responsible for your team’s preparation of monthly reconciliations and the preparation of the monthly management accounts.
- To be a key player in production of the annual budget, mid-year forecast and the year end accounts and audit preparation.
- Qualified/finalist ACCA/CIMA/ACA Accountant
- An inspiring leader, able to motivate team members and influence colleagues.
- An effective manager able to be collaborative, supportive or directive as appropriate.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Strong all round IT skills, including high level of competence in MS Office programmes
- Experience of team leadership in a finance team (preferably management accounts)
