- Description
- Kenneth Brian Associates are looking to hire an Accountant for a market leading business based close to Leatherhead. This will be for a period of circa 14 months to cover maternity, to support the Finance Director.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), be available to start the assignment in early November and be a competent user of excel and finance systems/ERPs.
Key Responsibilities:-- * Assist with the management of a team of 6.
- * Manage month end procedures including period closure.
- * Finalise and review monthly management accounts, fully investigating variances and provide written commentary.
- * Balance Sheet and month end reconciliations.
- * Produce monthly P&L’s to be distributed to area managers.
- * Assist in the preparation of monthly reporting pack for Group bankers.
- * Assist the FD in cashflow management and the weekly production of the short-term cash flow.
- * Manage treasury and banking functions including reviewing and authorising bank payments.
- * Prepare and submit the Quarterly VAT submissions and main contact point for HMRC.
- * Manage submission of European VAT returns and payments.
- * Manage submission of monthly EC sales list and Intrastat returns.
- * Be the 'Go-To' for the Group ERP system.
- * Assist in the preparation of Group Budgets and Forecasts.
- * Assist with monthly reforecasting based on actual performance.
- * Assist Finance Director or other business partners with ad-hoc duties.
