- Description
- Kenneth Brian Associates are working with a well established client based in Sutton, looking to hire a Qualified Accountant with strong management, analytical skills and IFRS experience. You will support the Head of Finance in the achievement of monthly, annual and ad-hoc accounting tasks.
Responsibilities:-- Management of cash holdings across all stores, including both sterling and foreign currency.
- Management of retail stock and pledge holdings across all stores.
- Management of the personal loan product, including the supervision of loan funding and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Monthly calculation of key balance sheet provisions in line with FRS 101 and IFRS, including stock, personal loans and pledgebook.
- Calculating and posting some Accruals/Prepayments.
- Supervise and over-see 2 Accounts Clerks and Accounts Payable Administrator.
- Facilitate in monthly variance analysis.
- Support in the year-end statutory audit process.
- Support in ad-hoc finance projects.
Required Skills & Experience- Fully-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Experience reporting under FRS 101 and IFRS.
- Confident self-starter with proven working experience in the management of a small team (3 persons).
- Well organized, with strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Pro-active communicator.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Intermediate/advanced Excel skills.
- Team-player with strong people skills.
- Experience using Infor SunSystems advantageous but not essential.
