My client is a well established and forward thinking business in Chislehurst. Im seeking a proactive and commercially minded Finance Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys owning the day-to-day finance function while also contributing to wider business strategy.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the full financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and meaningful analysis to support continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day finance function, including oversight of transactional finance
- Produce monthly management accounts, reports, and commentary
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
- Prepare cashflow forecasts and monitor cash management
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes
- Support with year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors
- Implement and improve financial controls, systems, and processes
- Process Payroll for staff and subcontractors
- Provide financial insights to senior leadership to support decision-making
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and external stakeholders
- Support the wider business with financial guidance and ad-hoc analysis
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar role
- Strong understanding of management accounts and financial reporting
- Excellent analytical skills with a commercial mindset
- Confident in improving processes and driving efficiencies
- Strong IT skills, particularly Excel and finance systems
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across the business
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously
