Kenneth Brian Associates are working on a fantastic opportunity for an Epsom based client, who are looking for an experienced HR professional to join them on a part time basis, for 12 months to cover maternity leave.
The focus of the role will be to provide guidance on HR polices and best practices, ensuring compliance with employment law and supporting business objectives.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Recruitment: liaising with managers to write job descriptions and person specifications, advertising, liaising with recruitment agencies, arranging interviews
- Agency relationships: maintaining relationships with preferred suppliers, liaising with agencies regarding vacancies
- Liaising with employees and managers regarding changes e.g. job roles, salaries, hours, resignations etc.
- Assisting employees and managers with employee relations issues
- Assisting managers with performance/conduct issues, advising on interventions, disciplinaries and grievances
- Providing assistance to employees with welfare issues
- Monitoring progress of employee in probation
- Giving advice relating to family leave
- Assisting with the monthly payroll
- Implementing employee engagement surveys
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Relevant experience in an HR advisory level role
- Experience of providing advice and guidance on a range of HR issues
- Recruitment and onboarding experience
- Strong communication skills at all levels
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, with the ability to learn new systems
- Highly organised with attention to detail
- Available immediately and able to commit to a 12 month contract
Working hours are 22.5 per week (flexibility on how these are worked) and hybrid working will be considered.
