- Kenneth Brian Associates are working on a retained basis with a leading retail and fashion brand based in Chessington.
This role will involve responsibility for the business management accounts, financial reconciliations, cash-flow analysis and forecasting, and preparation of budgets.
Duties will include:- Oversee all company accounts and investments.
- Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
- Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
- Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants.
- Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing.
- Provide 'FinancialStrategy’ planning.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
- Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation.
- Collaboration with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
- Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports.
- Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.
- Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies.
- Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.
- Report to Finance Director with timely and accurate financial information.
- Present reports to other senior manager team members, Directors, and other internal stakeholders.
The Person
This role will suit a qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with strong commercial experience in a Financial Controller position, ideally gained within a retail environment.
You will need to be a good team player with strong business acumen, excellent numerical and data analysis skills, and exemplary IT skills including Excel at an advanced level.
Proactive, decisive and logical, you will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to multi-task. Highly developed organisational skills, as well as the ability to work to tight deadlines, are a must.
As well as understanding and interpreting the numbers, you will need strong communication skills to present reports and recommendations clearly and persuasively to the management team.
