- Kenneth Brian Associates are working on a retained basis with a leading SME Services business based in Epsom.
This role will involve responsibility for the business management accounts, financial reconciliations, cash-flow analysis and forecasting, and preparation of budgets. Working arrangements can be flexible but this is a full-time role and the ideal candidate must be able to work at least 3 days from the Epsom office.
Duties will include:
* Lead and develop the Finance team
* Preparing financial statements and management accounts
* Analysing and reporting on the business financial position
* Forecasting future financial performance
* Ensuring expenditure is in line with agreed budgets
* Making recommendations for cost containment measures
* Preparing VAT and Corporation Tax returns and dealing with regulatory/compliance matters
* Contributing to decisions relating to the Company’s financial strategy.
The Person
This role will suit a qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with strong commercial experience in a Financial Controller position, ideally gained within a 'growth' environment.
You will need to be a good team player with strong business acumen, excellent numerical and data analysis skills, and exemplary IT skills including Excel at an advanced level.
Proactive, decisive and logical, you will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to multi-task. Highly developed organisational skills, as well as the ability to work to tight deadlines, are a must.
As well as understanding and interpreting the numbers, you will need strong communication skills to present reports and recommendations clearly and persuasively to the management team.
