I'm seeking a proactive and hands on Finance Manager to join a long standing client of ours based in Surbiton. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys owning the day-to-day finance function..
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day finance function, including oversight of transactional finance
- Produce monthly management accounts, reports, and commentary
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
- Prepare cashflow forecasts and monitor cash management
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes
- Support with year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors
- Implement and improve financial controls, systems, and processes
- Process Payroll for staff and subcontractors
- Provide financial insights to senior leadership to support decision-making
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and external stakeholders
- Support the wider business with financial guidance and ad-hoc analysis
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar role
- Strong understanding of management accounts and financial reporting
- Excellent analytical skills with a commercial mindset
- Confident in improving processes and driving efficiencies
- Strong IT skills, particularly Excel and finance systems
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across the business
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously
