Description

Kenneth Brian Associates is proud to partner with a leading retail organisation to recruit an experienced Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (Head of FP&A) for this critical leadership role within their dynamic and forward-thinking finance team.

This is a rare opportunity to make a significant impact in a values-driven, people-centric business that recognises the importance of finance as a strategic partner in delivering business success.

While this position offers a high degree of remote working, candidates must reside in or around the Surrey or London area to allow for occasional on-site collaboration when required.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning cycles.
  • Provide regular cash flow forecasting in collaboration with Finance Operations and Tax.
  • Deliver actionable insights through performance analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support departments with KPI tracking, variance analysis, and financial performance management.
  • Partner with senior leadership to deliver data-driven decision support.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with financial and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance on financial risk and internal controls.
  • Enhance governance through robust control frameworks.

Strategic Involvement:

  • Evaluate the financial impact of strategic projects and new initiatives.
  • Ensure new service lines and geographical expansions are properly accounted for and reported.
  • Drive alignment between financial planning and business strategy.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Foster a collaborative and performance-driven team culture.
  • Serve as a key advisor across the finance function and wider business.

About You – Essential Requirements

  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant
  • Proven experience in professional services or trust and corporate services.
  • Deep understanding of financial control, compliance, reporting, planning, and analysis.
  • A track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong experience in complex, global, multi-entity environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and solution-focused.

If you’re seeking a leadership opportunity where your contribution will directly shape financial strategy, processes, and performance—and want the flexibility of a largely remote role—this could be the perfect next step.
