- Kenneth Brian Associates are recruiting on behalf of a lovely company based in Redhill who are looking to recruit for a Finance Manager on a permanent basis. The Finance Manager will need to have a hands on approach to their work but there will also be 2 members of staff to manage who will oversee the accounts payables & receivables function. To be considered for the role you will need to have experience within a similar role and a working knowledge of Sage 200 along with being happy to travel to Redhill everyday as this is a office based role.
Key duties:- Hands on management and training of a small finance team.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts including balance sheet reconciliations.
- Monthly payroll.
- Group VAT return.
- Develop and control annual operating budget to ensure all financial targets are met and statutory regulations complied with.
- Contribute to the achievement of company’s objectives by providing management, advice and financial guidance.
- Provide financial advice and guidance to company’s managers and staff to enable them to achieve their objectives.
- Preparation of year end accounts and Management reporting to ensure that these are presented accurately and on time; liaising with auditor.
- Develop and maintain all necessary systems, policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the company.
- Carry out all necessary actions to ensure that the company meets its financial and legal obligations including company secretarial duties.
- Preparation of quarterly accounts; Preparation of monthly treasury schedule; Liaising with auditor to prepare consolidated group accounts & year end accounts; Acting as Company Secretary; Submission of quarterly VAT return.
- Part of senior management team working to grow the business.
- Identify & lead initiatives to further streamline processes, both financial & commercial
- Excellent management skills with proven experience in managing a small efficient team
- Prioritise and organise workload for the team
- A proactive and positive attitude
- Willingness to take on a variety of duties as required
- Oversee all day-to-day accounting duties
- Produce management accounts including month end and end of year data
- Be capable of multi-currency accounts
- Have an in-depth knowledge of Sage 200 systems and Microsoft 365 office suite
