- Kenneth Brian Associates are recruiting on behalf of an innovative company based in Sunbury who are looking to recruit for an Accounts Payable Assistant on a permanent basis.
The role will be Hybrid working and ideal for someone with 3+ years within Finance.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Loading invoices across all Group Entities - matching to Purchase Orders and Coding Directs to correct GL Codes.
· Liaising with Purchasing and wider Business Teams for PO amendments or Approvals to enable invoices to be loaded.
· Looking into complex queries seeing through to resolution
· Reconciling statements, including taking ownership of Key Supplier Reconciliation and payments.
· Build Payment Runs across all Group Entities and Currencies for invoices due.
· Checking and posting batches created by others in the team.
· Assist the Accounts Payable Team Leader in day-to-day tasks and ad hoc items as and when required.
Skills Profile
· A working knowledge of accounts payable principles would be beneficial;
· It is important to have a good understanding of accounting processes both on the purchase and sales side;
· Understanding of basic bookkeeping;
· Financial management knowledge;
· Detail-oriented;
· A mathematical mindset;
· Understanding of accounting categories;
· Knowledge of accounting systems
· Have a good understanding of Excel;
· Be hardworking;
· Be accurate and good attention to detail;
· Be able to work on your own, use your own initiative and as part of a team;
· Be organised and have a methodical approach to work.
· Have the ability to work to deadlines.
