- Kenneth Brian Associates are working in partnership with a leading housing provider in the Epsom area, to recruit an experienced Housing Officer to join their team.
This is a key role, and will involve ensuring that residents live in safe, secure, habitable and decent living conditions.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Planning, scheduling and visiting properties to assess living conditions
- Taking necessary action to gain access to properties
- Complete assessment at every visit
- Record all findings on the system
- Taking immediate action where living conditions are deemed uninhabitable, including decanting residents if necessary and raising emergency repairs where required
- Report all remedial works to the appropriate team
- Take ownership and follow up on remedial works
- Report any concerns about the wellbeing of residents
- Report any observations and concerns, including possible anti-social behaviour
- Report any concern for tenancy fraud
- Produce monthly progress reports
- Assisting other teams with property inspections when required
To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Relevant experience within the Housing sector
- Understanding of current Housing law
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Flexibility to occasionally work outside of normal office hours
