- Kenneth Brian Associates are working on an exclusive basis with a unique, fast-paced business with ambitious growth plans, looking to hire a Finance Manager, with a clear pathway to progress to Finance Director.
A key part of this role involves business partnering with various internal stakeholders, so you must be comfortable being highly visible within the organisation and have excellent people skills. You will be tasked with the following:- Manage financial reporting requirements including Regular balance sheet reconciliations, Financial reporting for grant funds, Year-end accounts preparation, Managing the year-end audit, VAT return calculations and submissions and assist the Finance Director in development of budgets and forecasts
Qualified, Part-Qualified or Qualified by Experience candidates will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:-- To prepare monthly management accounts..
- Ensuring the monthly bank reconciliations are completed accurately and timely.
- Calculating and posting monthly accruals and prepayments.
- Reviewing and reconciling intercompany accounts, including posting necessary adjustments.
- Producing income and expenditure accounts and balance sheet reports.
- To discuss the monthly management accounts and KPIs with each department head, discussing and understanding any variances, and producing a commentary on the accounts, including comparison to budget.
- Encourage ownership of budget by the relevant managers through provision of appropriate reporting tools.
- To create a culture of continuous improvement within the team, improving systems and processes as appropriate.
- To assist other teams with financial analysis/decisions and to produce reports for management as required.
- Offer cost-saving suggestions where appropriate.
Manage the functions of the finance team including Accounts Payable, Credit Control, Cash Management, Cash Book and Bank Reconciliations.
Lead, inspire and coach your team, holding regular departmental communications meetings and regular catch ups with your direct reports setting objectives, monitoring their achievement. Investing time in holding 1-2-1 meetings with your reports identifying development and training needs to help them achieve their full potential.
NB: This is currently hybrid working, but due to the naure of the business, they will be returning to full office working imminently.
