Description
Kenneth Brian Associates are working with an established business based in Guildford who are looking for a Payroll Manager to join their exciting team on a permanent basis. You will need experience dealing with end-to-end payroll, liaising with the HR team and responsible for coordinating and managing the monthly payroll process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the end-to-end payroll processes
  • Ensure all colleagues are enrolled onto pension plans
  • Responsible for checking weekly hours worked for hourly paid staff
  • Liaise with the Group HR team regarding processing payroll amendments
  • Process monthly payments to HMRC, pension providers and other external bodies
  • Liaise with finance team regularly over payroll costs and provide support for auditing process
  • Manage the payroll processes of staff benefits, leavers, statutory payments (SMP & SPP), unpaid leave and sick pay entitlements, ensuring the reporting deadlines are met
  • Liaising with the Group Finance Director, cross check BACS payment files prior to submitting to the bank
  • Liaise with the Group HR department regarding internal payrolls
  • Action internal expense claims and unpaid leave for colleagues ensuring this is accounted for in payroll
  • Running the monthly payroll cost for the business and reconcile all payroll transactions to the Purchasing and Finance Administrator
  • Administer benefits and ensure staff are enrolled onto Group benefits such as health schemes and life assurance
  • Oversee the Payroll operations manual, ensuring weekly process/flow charts are produced and reviewed regularly
  • Liaise with the HR department regarding processing payroll amendments for new starters, leavers, contractual changes, tax code changes and 3rd party deductions
  • Reconcile the company pension deductions
  • Monitor the 'Payoll’ inbox, responding to queries or escalating where required
  • Draft associated policies as required
