- Description
- Kenneth Brian Associates are working with a highly acquisitive PE backed business based in Guildford to hire a Financial Controller who will be the number 2 in the Guildford business. The Group HO is based in London. This is a temp to perm opportunity, with a 3 month temp timeframe.
The business have a specific interest in qualified individuals with a strong technical background, proven experience of leading and developing a team, along with the ability to work with systems, change and process improvements/streamlining.
Key Responsibilities:-- * Day to day management of the finance department (12 staff)
- * Preparing monthly management accounts
- * Delivering annual budgets and reforecasting in collaboration with the management team
- * Conducting performance analysis (departmental and client)
- * Continuously identifying opportunities for process improvements
- * Managing the annual audit and executive dashboard
- * Reviewing current accounting and reporting processes and software to ensure they are scalable in line with company objectives and growth targets
- * Building credibility and strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Skills and experience:-- * Effective communicator (strong verbal, written, listening skills) with a natural ability to ask questions and probe
- * Able to build trust, strong relationships and influence
- * Passion, desire and ability to work in a fast paced growth environment
- * ACCA / ACA / CIMA Qualified
- * Previous experience of working within a similar role developing finance teams
- * Strong IT skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel essential along with an understanding of ERPs
- * Ability to work in a cross functional management team
- * Strong people management and leadership skills
- * Demonstrable ability to lead, challenge and influence both finance and non-finance stakeholders
