Im proud to be partnering with a well-established company based in Banstead, who are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accounts professional to take ownership of the day-to-day running of the accounts department, supervising the team and ensuring the smooth operation of both Sales and Purchase Ledgers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support the accounts team
- Process Purchase Invoices and Sales Invoices
- Manage CIS and VAT returns
- Chase outstanding debt
- Complete bank reconciliations
- Process payments
- Ensure accuracy and compliance across all accounts functions
Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in an accounting role, with hands-on exposure to the above tasks
- AAT Level 4 (or equivalent) qualification is prefered
- Strong knowledge of accounts processes within the construction industry (essential)
- Proficiency in Sage accounting software (essential)
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple priorities
The Package:
- Full-time, permanent position
- Office-based in Banstead
- 37.5 hours per week
- 26 days holiday bank holidays
