Kenneth Brian Associates are working exclusively alongside a profitable owned, (£100million Turnover) and long-established business based on the outskirts of Purley, Surrey.
Job Purpose:
This is a position that will ensure that the company Payrolls are processed accurately and on time; to ensure that statutory legislation and company procedures are enforced; to deliver a highly professional, customer-focused, Payroll service to a mix of bi-weekly and 4 weekly paid staff across 4 different payrolls; and to ensure that the team achieves exceptionally high standards by utilising both the Payroll and Time & Attendance systems to optimum efficiency.
Major Accountabilities
• Achieve payment of employee wages in an accurate and timely manner.
• Optimise the integrated Payroll system within Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with Support Office and Field staff and encourage the team to deliver excellent standards of customer service.
• Liaise with the Company’s software suppliers (Payroll and Time & Attendance) on issues relating to functionality as and when required.
• Actively advocate training and development for self and team.
• Manage all people-related processes including performance reviews and appraisals
• Fulfil the Company’s Year-End obligations to HMRC.
• Constantly evaluate Payroll procedures to ensure the department constantly works in an efficient and pro-active manner.
• Make sure that all Payroll staff are updated with any changes to statutory legislation or company procedures.
• Manage all Payroll processing including the "Head Office Payroll" on a start to finish basis; including but not limited to statutory payments, manual calculations, processing starters and leavers, production of payslips and ad hoc reports as required.Key Relationships

To lead a team of 4 including a Deputy and 3 payroll officers that comprise the Payroll Department.
• To manage the production of management and verification reports including:
- High hours reports
- High net pay reports
- Negative net pay reports
- Timesheet submission and approval reports
- Department GL reports
